We love Raquel for the many ways she exemplifies our values – she’s a smallholder producer, sustainably farming small volumes of excellent coffee, empowering others in her community through her work.
Raquel grows the exotic geisha cultivar in organics-rich, volcanic soil in Narino, Colombia, at a goodly 2000 metres above sea level.
This coffee expresses our love for her most succinctly.
We find apricot delight, jasmine, the sparkle of honey-spiked homemade lemonade, buttery smoothness and a hard candy residual. It’s got an interesting lactic funk from the anaerobic fermentation too.
At Small Batch, we taste a lot of delicious coffee, but even we are extra wowed with this one.
We recommend brewing at 95°c with your chosen pour over method.
